do you fondue?

Tips for throwing a great fondue party:
  1. Make it a potluck and have each person bring a different dipper.
  2. If possible, use two different fondue pots as people will want to eat off both cheese and chocolate throughout the night.
  3. Remember that people tend to overeat with the cheese fondue so by the time the chocolate fondue is prepared most people are full!
I advise using this recipe for Parmesan fondue. Other fondue recipes tend to require expensive cheeses and this one is more economical and everyone loves it! Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread, cubed

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, cook and stir the milk and cream cheese over low heat until cheese is melted. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic salt; cook and stir until heated through. Transfer to a fondue pot or mini slow cooker; keep warm. Serve with bread cubes.
