Fort Stevens State Park
Shipwreck:
One of the first things I read about Fort Stevens was the shipwreck that was ran aground by captain Peter Iredale in 1906. It was quite a sight to see.
Next stop: Battery Russell
This area was used for a battery during WWII.
We were able to walk through concrete forts and bunkers that were used when the Japanese attacked Fort Stevens.
Fort Stevens was a really great place to catch a glimpse into Oregon's military past.
