hello astoria!

We're home from Astoria! 

Our quick weekend trip was filled with sightseeing, good food, and pictures galore. 

Here are some photos from some tourist destinations in Astoria. 

First stop: The Astoria Column

It was quite the trek up the column I must admit, but the views of Astoria and the Columbia River were breathtaking. 

Next stop: The Flavel House

This was a fun mansion to explore. It wasn't very crowded so we were able to take our time through each room and play with some of the props (Mr. Flavel's hat is not yours to play with Stephen!)

Next stop: Astoria Waterfront Trolley

For $1.00, this was well worth the ride. They took us on a guided tour of all the famous buildings and landmarks in Astoria. It gave us ideas to eat at lunch and fill the rest of the day with. 

Last stop: Columbia River Maritime Museum

We went to this after seeing it on the trolley tour. It was a great overview of the Pacific Northwest's maritime history with large ships, displays, and artifacts.

And we got to tour the Columbia coast guard boat at the end!

Next destination: Off to Fort Steven State Park
