This year marked our second annual tradition of going apple picking. We decided last time to make this a yearly event as we enjoyed it so much and it really got us into the fall spirit. Or one of us anyways. With trips and busy schedules, we were unable to make it out to Hood River until early November. This marked near the end of apple picking season so we did not have as much as a selection and the apples weren't as good. But it is for the joy of going and picking the apples that we go, so it was worth it. And we lucked out on a beautiful fall day in the Gorge. I love being able to witness the change in seasons and the apple orchards in the Gorge provided just that.
Oregon may not be known for its fall foliage like the New England area is, but it is pretty spectacular too.
